Scott Zischke has been working continually as a professional speech pathologist for over a decade. He completed both his graduate and undergraduate curriculum at Northern Michigan University, receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Disorders and Psychology (1999) and a Master’s of Arts Degree in Communication Disorders (2001). After university, Scott lived and worked in the Seattle Washington area for 6 years primarily employed at a private clinic where he focused on learning and earned ASHA’s ACE award for continuing education. In the two years before moving to Phoenix Scott worked part time at the clinic and part time as a contracted therapist with a local school district.
In 2007 Scott moved to Phoenix, married, and was fortunate enough to work within various school districts as an employee of a contract company and later as supervisor (2010). During the time Scott and his family spent in the desert, he enjoyed splitting time serving the elementary and high school age populations at multiple school sites and serving as a clinical supervisor, supporting the needs and development of the other exceptional therapists in the company.
2013 brought Scott and his growing family to Denver as a great place to raise his son, enjoy the outdoors and help support the needs of children in this area. SZ Therapies was created as an extension of his previous contracting and clinic work in Seattle.
Scott has a diverse background of interests in the speech and language field, including AAC, Autism, Learning Disability, Early Intervention, Apraxia and general speech and language issues as well as continuing to focus on education and learning. Scott is also a specialist at evaluating and diagnosing these concerns and disorders. Call to schedule a free initial consultation today or complete these forms to begin the evaluation process.
